About Architecture Insights
The goal of this website is promote a better understanding of architectural issues in the community by connecting the public, students, architects and others with information about architecture and associated events. The site fosters partnerships, collaboration and debates to encourage public participation and design excellence in architecture and the built environment in NSW, and Australia more broadly.
The site is owned by the NSW Architects Registration Board. Content is contributed by architects, event producers, researchers, students, and anyone who is writing, talking, teaching, or producing events about architecture and design in the built environment.
About the NSW Architects Registration Board
The NSW Architects Registration Board administers the Architects Act, the legislation regulating architects and the practice of architecture in NSW. The Board’s key roles are to protect consumers of architectural services; register architects and architect corporations and firms; and to promote an understanding of architectural issues in the community.
The Board's corporate website www.architects.nsw.gov.au contains information on the Board’s core functions on registration and consumer protection. The Board has also developed a website focused on assisting architects to reduce their carbon emissions www.reducingcarbonemissions.org and administers the Sydney Architecture Festival website www.sydneyarchitecturefestival.org with the Australian Institute of Architects.
