About Architecture Insights

So the goal of this website is to promote a better understanding of architectural issues in the community by connecting the public, students, architects and others with information about architecture, design and the world around us. The site exists to get people talking and bumping in to each other by encouraging public participation in architecture and the built environment in NSW, and Australia more broadly.

We're owned by the NSW Architects Registration Board (consider us the casual cousin or cool younger brother). Content is contributed by architects, event producers, researchers, students, and anyone who is writing, talking, teaching, or producing events about architecture and design in the built environment.

About the NSW Architects Registration Board

The NSW Architects Registration Board administers the Architects Act; the legislation regulating architects and the practice of architecture in NSW.  The Board’s key role is to protect consumers of architectural services. How do we do this? By registering architects and architect corporations and firms; and to promote an understanding of architectural issues in the community.

The Board's corporate website www.architects.nsw.gov.au contains information on the Board’s functions on registration and consumer protection, and some of the good things they do.

The Board is also a really proud part of the Sydney Architecture Festival website www.sydneyarchitecturefestival.org along with the Australian Institute of Architects.
