Russell Jack House

Russell Jack House

Go inside this award winning modernist home designed by architect Russell Jack (founding partner of Allen Jack + Cottier) in the late fifties. This month we are opening the Russell Jack House on a Saturday to coincide with the Fifties Fair at Rose Seidler House the following day.

Our host for this event is the owner of the Russell Jack House, Annalisa Capurro who is an interior designer and design lecturer. Annalisa is an expert and passionate about the protection and preservation of Mid-Twentieth Century architecture. Hear about how and when Annalisa bought the house directly from Russell Jack. She has kept the house's features intact and her collection of original modernist furniture and accessories complements the style of the residence.

A small creek is incorporated into the plan of the house to separate the bedroom and living areas into distinct wings.

Russell Jack's house has been awarded Heritage Status.
