Mason Joseph House, winner Heritage/Adaptive Re-use Award

Randwick City Council is partnering with the Australian Institute of Architects to present a series of free talks showcasing the work of winners of the recent Randwick City Urban Design Awards.

The second in the series of talks will be held next Thursday 12 September at 6pm in the Malabar Room at Council’s Administration Building, and will feature guest speaker Mary Ellen Hudson, who picked up two winners’ gongs in the recent awards.

Mary Ellen will be focusing on the award winning Mason Joseph House and the Chauvel House. While the outcomes of these projects are very different, the discussion will focus on how the design process and outcomes are influenced by the needs and wants of the client. Having the two projects to discuss will allow comparisons between the sites, constraints, aspects, choice of materials, design of spaces and elements of sustainable design.

To register for the second Architecture on Show talk, please RSVP to ArchitectureTalks@randwick.nsw.gov.au or call 9399 0982.

Free. RSVPs are required
