Audio Architecture Talks is a series of lively conversations and especially commissioned performance-exchanges on the theme of cities and sound. To unpack this distinctive 'handshake' of disciplines we bring together artists, sound makers, theorists and architects.
The Audio Architecture 24 hr Design Camp is a spatial study of dissonance. Over an intensive 24 hours, students will explore the creative and collaborative intersections of sound and architecture through workshops, discussions, performances and design experiments. The provocation is to create a space in tension, oscillating between harmony and discord. The analysis centers on states of instability and their inherent dynamism. The question is what this investigation means for the practice of art, design and architecture.
Participants in Audio Architecture will have the opportunity to build connections with others and establish a dialogue with leaders in the fields of sound and design. Participants need to sign up for both the symposium and the camp by 2 July 2012.
