Australia’s largest electrical learning centre goes green

6 Star Green Star - Education Design v1

The Ausgrid Learning Centre was awarded a 6 Star Green Star – Education Design v1 rating in June last year.

Featuring gas driven tri-generation power utilising 55 geothermal bores for heat rejection, 260 photo voltaic panels with a 51kW capacity, rainwater harvesting and grey water re-use, the new education facility represents green building 'World Leadership'.

The $75 million centre is the headquarters of Ausgrid’s smart grid operations and energy efficiency centre. It was jointly funded by the Australian Government under the Education Investment Fund.

Join project team members from DEM Architects and Brookfield Multiplex as they go inside this new energy efficiency education facility.
