Billy Blue College Of Design
Get ready to bare witness to a new generation of creators! Come November 8th, The Billy Blue College of Design is taking over the Village Greens at Darling Quarter, Sydney, to showcase works from students across the five creative disciplines. We are surrounded by an environment that is constantly evolving, this exhibition is ten steps ahead of the rest.
The great outdoors during Spring is the busiest and best time. The exhibition offers a feast of interactive options for every interest, whether you’re a hardcore design lover, or taking your first steps into Sydney burgeoning arts and cultural scene.
So, where will you be? Watching a student brew their own fluoride-free, organic beer? Perhaps you’ll take a walk through the interactive wardrobe with 360 degree spin technology, or view the latest tricks in 3D technology and motion skills from the Digital Media crew? Yep, those crazy and creative kids at Billy Blue are at it again, and it’s all for free in one spot.
More of the observer type? The space itself will be a playground for great design. It encompasses unusual and modular landscape installations from the Spatial students, brief talks from respective heads of academic studies, and documentary films produced by the Digital Media design buffs along with other streams’ “process” documentaries.
No longer limited to a set list of skills and boundaries, the modern designer and their place within the broader industry has been redefined. These individuals are required to be multi-faceted and multi-dimensional. For the industry and graduates alike, this is the exact pedigree that The Billy Blue College of Design is internationally renowned for.
The exhibition opens Friday 8th November from 6pm and continues Saturday 9th November 11am-4pm
