The way we live now is an exhibition of paintings about two fundamental aspects of contemporary Australian life, nature and culture. To be more specific the paintings deal with our connection to the land through architecture, where and what we build, and the spaces and places we live in.
The paintings deal with such elemental things as stonewalls and wooden floors, framed views to exquisite vistas, or prescribed tracks through beautiful native forests. At its core the exhibition attempts to record our changing relationship to landscape and the way we project ourselves into it.
David will be giving an artist talk at the Gallery.
