2011 Dulux Colour Awards
ONE AND A HALF WEEKS TO GO!
HAVE YOU ENTERED THE 2012 DULUX COLOUR AWARDS?
The 2012 Dulux Colour Awards entries close on 10 February, meaning there is just over one week remaining for architects, designers, specifiers and students to showcase their innovative and inspiring use of colour.
Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, Andrea Lucena-Orr, said the entries are flooding in and so far the standard is looking exceptionally high across the board.
“We’re very excited about the calibre of entries so far. If you have not yet entered, this is your chance to be recognised for your inspiring use of colour in design. And with eight categories for you to enter, you're sure to find the right one to showcase your prized project,” she said.
Adding a new dynamic for entrants, this year the Residential Interior and Exterior Awards have been divided into four new categories – Single Residential Interior, Multi Residential Interior, Single Residential Exterior and Multi Residential Exterior. These join the Commercial Exterior, Commercial Interior, Sustainable Interior and Student categories to be judged by four top names in the Australian and New Zealand design industries.
“With such a high standard of entrants from across Australasia, the job of judging is going to be more difficult than ever – but this year’s judging panel couldn’t be better equipped,” said Lucena-Orr.
Representing an impressive collective knowledge and experience in colour and design, this year’s judging line-up includes:
- the award winning architect, Peter Maddison;
- the talented colour guru at Colourways, Kim Chadwick;
- the creative stylist and founder of www.thedesignfiles.net, Lucy Feagins;
- and, making a debut as the first New Zealand judge in Dulux Colour Awards history, Jeff Fearon, a principal and co-founder of the award-winning Auckland architectural practice, Fearon Hay.
Aside from the acknowledgment that comes from winning one of Australasia’s most acclaimed industry accolades, each category winner will receive AU$1,500 in prize money and a trophy. All entries also stand the chance of taking the coveted Grand Prix award, receiving AU$2,000 cash, a trophy plus a trip to an international design fair.
Information and details on how to enter can be found by clicking here. The winners will be announced at a gala function in March 2012.
All Dulux Colour Awards entrants in the Residential Interior and Commercial Interior categories will be automatically entered into the Australian Interior Designer Awards (AIDA) free of charge as part of Dulux’s sponsorship of the AIDA.
