Put on your Sunday best and be seen at Rose Seidler House, home of the Fifties Fair.

This year, we’re proud to feature
Rusty Pinto’s Shotdown from Sugartown, who will be travelling from Perth for an exclusive Sydney performance.

Shotdown from Sugartown is Perth’s rawest rockabilly and honky-tonk blues band, fronted by internationally recognised blues and rockabilly vocalist Rusty Pinto with double bassist Jay McIvor and guitarist Jon Matthews. Rusty has toured extensively across Australia and has performed in England, Germany, Holland, Sweden, Italy and the US. Shotdown from Sugartown wowed audiences at the 2013 Camperdown Cruise Rockabilly Weekender in Victoria, and they are now working on their first album.

Pat Capocci will also rock the Fifties Fair stage with their blend of western swing, jazz, country and blues. Local Sydney boy and one of Australia’s most respected practitioners of rockabilly and roots music, Pat Capocci performs regularly throughout Europe and in Australia, and has played alongside some of the most respected international artists, including Deke Dickerson, Big Sandy, Imelda May and Justin Townes Earle. Known for his energy and passion, Pat is a Fifties Fair favourite and returns in 2014 fresh from his debut gig at Viva Las Vegas in April and a European tour.

The Sydney Morning Herald’s 2013 ‘Chef of the Year’ winners, Porteño’s Ben Milgate and Elvis Abrahanowicz, will be firing up the burners again with a menu inspired by traditional Argentinian barbecues. They’ll also be cooking up some delicious options for vegetarians.
