The Sydney Architecture Festival invites all kids big and small to join us at Riverside Theatre Courtyard for a fun filled day of drawing, walking, designing and building focusing on the heritage of Parramatta.

For more details see the attached flyer.

Making Monuments (11.00am-2.30pm)
Monuments allow people to recognize, celebrate and remember significant moments from the past and celebrate their community. Bring your model making skills and design and make a monument to honour Parramatta through a person, object or event. What about a monument for Henry Dodd, Parramatta’s first farmer or perhaps a monument for the Parramatta River?

Then and Now (11.00am-2.30pm)
Drawing the future.
Have a look at Parramatta as it once was and then how it is now. What’s different? What’s the same? Draw what you think the scene will be like in the future.

Building Parramatta
Make a model of a building and help complete the existing plan of Parramatta. Ideas for the future? Make a building that doesn’t exist yet.

Kids Architecture Walk
Discover Parramatta through its buildings during this 40 minute walk.  Look for architectural features and complete your very own Passport to the Streets. Draw, check off, sketch and complete to receive an official stamp!

This walk will take place around Parramatta at 11.30am & 1.30pm, meet at the Riverside Theatre, bring a hat and waterbottle and don't forget the sunscreen!
