SAF12 Exhibition - The Third LandscapeBy
Oct. 24, 2012 - Nov. 17, 2012
11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
148 City Rd, Darlington
The Third Landscape exhibition and public program will explore the changing urban landscape, in particular Sydney and its current condition. It will investigate how natural and urban landscapes incorporate time into their design process. Taking French landscape architect Gilles Clément's term for landscapes in transition as its title, it presents emerging and established artists, architects and designers whose work addresses the adaptability of spaces. While some take immediate and hands-on action in reworking the spatial program, others offer an alternative vision of landscapes already in the process of modification.
These works demonstrate how it is in the cycles of decay and regeneration that new potentialities are found. The exhibition is curated by Joni Taylor and artists include Richard Goodwin, Helen Armstrong, Izabela Pluta and Peter Nelson.
