The Anganwadi Project (TAP)
Angawadi volunteers talk about their project at the launch of the Exhibition which run until 30 November.
The Anganwadi Project (TAP) is a small Australian not-for-profit organisation designing and building pre-schools in Gujarat, India.
It was founded in 2007 by two Australian design professionals, Jodie Fried & Jane Rothschild, who saw a need in the slums of Ahmedabad to improve existing pre-schools which were crude lean-to's with little or no light and ventilation. TAP sends architects and other designers from Australia to India working as volunteers for periods of 6-12 months to create simple, beautiful and sustainable designs in close collaboration with the local community."
