Green roofs and walls forum

Join passionate sustainable architect Caroline Pidcock and our panel of green roofs and vertical garden advocates as they share their ideas, studies and inspiration for a greener city. The panel includes landscape architect at ASPECT Studios, Sacha Coles; Professor Stuart White, Director of the Institute of Sustainable Futures; and Lucy Sharman, City of Sydney’s Green Roofs and Walls Officer.

Students from UTS have also volunteered their time to build two innovative green walls to display at the forum. Two teams of Industrial Design students were given a month and $500 and have come up with two great creations – one with two shelves with potted plants, on pulleys to allow flexibility in an urban environment, and the other a piped, hydroponic structure that you can sit within.

This free forum is brought to you by the City of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney and is part of Powerhouse Museum’s Sydney Design 2013. Seats are going like hot cakes, so make sure you book now.
