Join architect Nick Powell on a revealing tour around our beautiful 19th-century property Meroogal.

This American-style ‘Pattern Book’ house is the ideal place to learn how to ‘read’ the details of a building, unravel its secrets and discover how it was built.

The tiniest details tell stories of the lives of houses. Like the seams and hems on clothing, altered for growing legs and expanding waistlines, timbers, nails and record new uses, additions and repairs.

Architect Nick Powell has studied the structure of Meroogal, identifying and analysing these subtle, often overlooked elements.

Join him on this fascinating tour and look through his eyes as the story of this 1885 house is revealed.

You may never see your own home the same way again!
