Talk 2 - Caroline Pidcock

Caroline Pidcock is an award winning architect who runs her own practice focussed on the design of sustainable architecture. Her talk will focus on the philosophy of 'Living Buildings' and it's application to how we design our environment.

Caroline's previous roles as President of the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council; President of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in NSW and National Councillor; Industry Representative on the Australian Building Codes Board; Member of the NSW Architects Registration Board; Member of Bicycle NSW Board; and adjunct professor/lecturer at a range of universities in NSW, exposed her to many government, business, academic and community arenas.

PIDCOCK – Architecture + Sustainability is a practice that aims to excel in environmentally sustainable architecture and advice. PIDCOCK aims to demonstrate how the many issues that are fundamental to sustainability can be potent and profound influences. Established in 1992, the company has worked on many projects throughout Sydney and NSW, with particular expertise in residential and community projects. The work of the office reflects a direct and immediate response to the particular issues of each project, especially the client needs and the site environment.
