Parlour Guides to Equitable Practice – call for feedback

By Parlour

Parlour guides. Graphic design by Catherine Griffith.

Parlour, in association with the Australian Institute of Architects, is developing guidelines for equitable practice

These aim to help architectural workplaces facilitate change towards a more equitable profession. Addressed to both at employers and employees, they will provide guides, hints and tips on a range of issues.

We are keen to know what you think of the draft guidelines.

  • Do they cover the right mix of content?
  • Is there material missing?
  • Is the tone right?
  • Are they useful?
  • How could they be more useful?
  • What are the most important issues?
  • Which changes are likely to be easiest to achieve?
  • Which are likely to be most difficult?

The draft guides can be downloaded here, where you will also find an online feedback form.

We appreciate any input you may be able to offer - and please also pass this on to others who might be able to contribute.

The Parlour Guides to Equitable Practice are an initiative of the research project Equity and Diversity in the Australian Architectural Profession, led by Dr Naomi Stead of the University of Queensland.
