Parlour survey no. 2: And What About the Men

The first Parlour survey, ‘Where do all the women go?’ generated an enormous response – we are currently analysing 1,200 responses. Now we want to know more about the men of Australian architecture.

Who are they and what do they do? How are their roles and experiences similar and how are they different?

To help us find out we would now like men involved with Australian architecture to complete a similar survey. Together the surveys will give us substantial insight into the industry and the profession.

We take an expanded view of what architectural activity can be – it might include practice, academia, research, advocacy, government, policy, regulation, project management, media, allied built environment disciplines and much more. We are also interested to know about men abroad with backgrounds in Australian architecture, and about those who have ‘left’ architecture.
